A Lifelong Commitment to Shelby County
Shelby County has always been home. I started serving our community as a volunteer firefighter with the Mount Eden Fire Department — a role that taught me courage, teamwork, and compassion.
After working on local farms and at my family’s small business, Carriss’s Grocery, I learned firsthand the importance of hard work, integrity, and neighborly respect.
Since 2011, I’ve proudly served in the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office — beginning on patrol, moving into investigations as a detective, and now serving as Captain of Investigations. Over more than a decade in law enforcement, I’ve seen how collaboration and communication can make our county safer and stronger.
But none of this would be possible without my family. My wife, Kellie, is a nurse practitioner who has cared for Shelby County families for years. Together, with our children Harper and Hudson, we are deeply rooted in our Christian faith and in our belief that community service is a calling — not a career.
That’s why I’m running as your Republican candidate for Shelby County Sheriff in the May 19, 2026 primary election.
