Shelby County is more than where I live — it’s my home. It’s where I grew up, raised my family, and dedicated my career to protecting and serving others.
From my start as a volunteer firefighter with the Mount Eden Fire Department to my current role as Captain of Investigations at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, I’ve spent my life committed to helping people. Those early lessons in hard work and community — from working local farms to serving customers at my family’s store, Carriss’s Grocery, taught me the value of faith, family, and service.
Now, I’m ready to take the next step — to serve as your next Sheriff of Shelby County.
Together, we can build on what’s working and make the best even better.
As Sheriff, Blake Lisby will focus on keeping Shelby County safe and strong. He’ll make schools more secure, fight drugs with a dedicated team, and expand patrols to meet community needs. By using smart technology, improving traffic safety, and supporting deputies, he’ll build trust and ensure a Sheriff’s Office the county can be proud of.
Increase School Resource Officers to protect students and staff.
Fight drugs, expand patrols, and add Flock Cameras for smarter crime prevention.
Improve deputy retention, enhance training, and add a Traffic Enforcement position.
